The Joy Formidable: “Whirring (Live on KEXP)”
I was fortunate enough to get a few hall passes and enjoy a week of live music as the recent MusicFestNW – seeing Eleanor Freidberger, The Kills, Archers of Loaf, Explosions in the Sky, Antlers, and this band, The Joy Formidable who I was looking forward to seeing as they are quite decent.
After seeing them live though, the positively blew my mind, which is why I am posting them live performing an epic shoegaze/feedback drenched version of their usually much-milder-but-still-great “Whirring”. Absolutely impressed with them live and highly recommended. (Witz)
